120616 RyeoWook (Super Junior) - Immortal Song 2
okay so BASICALLY
whoever chose this song, whether he did it for himself or someone did it for him, it was the best choice. ryeowook’s voice isn’t suited for sappy mushy ballads because of his timbre but this was perfect for him because his voice haunts, his voice is crystal clear, hard as a diamond, it echoes and resonates and that is exactly what this song needed
his tiny crescendo at 3:01 gave me the shivers omg because it’s lower than his usual notes and he gave that note weight, made this song so serious, and that note at 3:59. that vibrato control, omg. and the end of the song just hung there, the most fleeting thing, like you’re standing on the brink of something and all that’s left after a stunning performance is a man dressed in white. and the audience just sat there to absorb that aftershock, the one you get when the effects of a performance still haven’t dissipated and ugh
i wasn’t expecting him to be this stellar, i really wasn’t, but i am so happy he proved me wrong
